10 BLESSINGS OF GOD FROM PSALM 34:
Let us learn from the patriarch Abraham how he received the blessing from the scripture below
1 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed -- Abraham in all things. Genesis 24:1
Genesis 24:1 (a) And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age… Genesis 24:1
At this point, Abraham was most likely 140 years old.
Genesis 24:1 (b)… and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things. Genesis 24:1
“Seek first the kingdom of God,” Jesus said, “and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). Abraham did just that. He left everything he had to follow the leading of the Lord. And here we read he was blessed in all things. Genesis 24:1
Based on the above principle of seeking the kingdom first as Abraham did, glean 10 ways in which God blesses his righteous ones from psalm 34:
- He responds to prayer (Ps. 34:4).
- All anxieties are allayed by him.
- He makes His people wise (Ps. 34:5).
- He bestows courage on His people.
- He delivers from all challenges (Ps. 34:6-7).
- He satisfies all of His people's needs (Ps. 34:9-10; 23:1; 84:11; Jn. 15:7).
- To stop all iniquity and purge evil from His creation, He punishes the wicked (Ps. 34:16).
- He stays close to the grieving and rescues the broken-hearted (Ps. 34:18).
- He saves His people's souls (Ps. 34:22).
- All who put their trust in Him thrive.
